The Regency i1150 is the compact member of Regency’s Classic wood insert line, built for smaller fireplaces and rooms that a large insert would overwhelm. It fits into your existing masonry fireplace and turns it from an open, heat-losing hole into a closed, efficient wood burner that keeps heat in the room instead of sending it up the flue. Its 0.98 cubic foot firebox takes logs up to 18 inches and delivers up to 55,000 BTU of clean, EPA-certified heat, a good fit as the main source for a smaller space or as zone heat for a living room, cabin, or addition. Because it fits openings as small as 23 inches wide and 19 inches high, it works in fireplaces that cannot take a larger unit. Installation and what is involved
A fireplace insert needs more than a fireplace. The i1150 vents through a continuous stainless steel liner run up your existing chimney, and that chimney should be inspected, and repaired if needed, before installation. On Duty handles the whole process, from camera inspection to liner installation to final setup and testing, so the unit performs and vents the way it should.

Will the i1150 fit my fireplace?
The i1150 needs a fireplace opening of about 23 inches wide, 19 inches high, and 13-3/4 inches deep with the standard flue adaptor. That smaller footprint is the whole point of this model: it fits fireplaces that cannot take a larger insert. We measure your fireplace before you buy so you know it fits.
Is the i1150 big enough to heat my room?
The i1150 is a compact insert rated up to 55,000 BTU, best suited to smaller rooms or as zone heat for a living room, cabin, or addition. If you need to heat a large, open floor plan, we may point you to a larger unit like the i3000. We are glad to help match the insert to your space.
Do you install what you sell?
Yes. Every insert we sell is professionally installed by our licensed, insured team, including the stainless steel liner it needs to vent safely.
Do I need a chimney liner?
Yes. A wood insert vents through a continuous stainless steel liner run up your chimney. We inspect the chimney, install the correct liner, and test the system as part of the job.
Does the i1150 qualify for the federal biomass tax credit?
No. Its 70 percent HHV efficiency is below the 75 percent threshold the credit requires. If the tax credit matters to you, ask us about higher-efficiency models such as the i3000, which does qualify.
